Rapid City Utility Maintenance Facility

Back to SECO Projects | Back to Government Category

The City of Rapid City continues to grow and the amount of sewer, water and storm water systems to maintain have increased as well.  The Rapid City Utility Maintenance staff had been housed in a much smaller facility that was no longer functional for the increasing needs of the City’s infrastructure maintenance.  SECO built a new 30,400 square-foot facility on a 4.4-acre site adjacent to the existing facility.  The new facility was constructed with precast concrete walls, steel roof structure, precast concrete plank for a mezzanine storage area and ample paved parking and storage areas.  The facility includes administrative office space, locker rooms with showers, machine shop, and equipment maintenance and storage bays.
