Memorial Park Master Craftsmanship Award

Memorial Park Promenade provides a convenient pedestrian connection between Downtown Rapid City and the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. The project was intended to provide a place for social gatherings and a visually attractive walking experience near the Heart of Rapid City. The vision of the Project’s planners was that Memorial Park Promenade would be more than just a sidewalk or path but a destination in and of itself. We are happy the Craftsmanship of SECO’s employees has allowed that vision to become a reality.
The Memorial Park Promenade Concrete flatwork consisted of nearly 1,000 yards of concrete two thirds of which was patterned, integrally colored and decoratively saw cut. SECO Craftsman performed significant portions of this work with unfavorable weather conditions but still created an exemplary product. A special thanks to Destination Rapid City for having the vision for this project and allowing SECO’s Craftsmen to make it a reality.
